Mangal Chandika Stotra in Hindi

‘चण्डी’ शब्द का प्रयोग ‘दक्षा’ (चतुरा) के अर्थ में होता है और ‘मंगल′शब्द कल्याण का वाचक है। जो मंगल-कल्याण करने में दक्ष हो, वही “मंगल-चण्डिका” कही जाती है। ‘दुर्गा’ के अर्थ में भी चण्डी शब्द का प्रयोग होता है और मंगल शब्द भूमि-पुत्र मंगल के अर्थ में भी आता है। अतः जो मंगल की अभीष्ट देवी है, उन देवी को ‘मंगल-चण्डिका’ कहा गया है।मनुवंश में ‘मंगल′नामक राजा थे। सप्त-समुन्द्र पर्यन्त पृथ्वी उनके शासन में थी। उन्होंने इन देवी को अभीष्ट देवता मानकर पूजा की थी। इसलिए भी ये ‘मंगल-चण्डी’ नाम से विख्यात हुई। जो मूलप्रकृति भगवती जगदीश्वरी ‘दुर्गा’ कहलाती हैं, उन्हीं का यह रुपान्तर है। ये देवी कृपा की मूर्ति धारण करके सबके सामने प्रत्यक्ष हुई हैं। स्त्रियों की ये इष्टदेवी हैं।

मन्त्र –

॥ ॐ ह्रीं श्रीं क्लीं सर्व-पूज्ये देवि मंगल-चण्डिके ऐं क्रू फट् स्वाहा ॥

(२१ अक्षर)(देवीभागवत,नवम स्कन्ध, अध्याय 47 के अनुसार मन्त्र इस प्रकार है –

॥ ॐ ह्रीं श्रीम क्लीं सर्व-पूज्ये देवि मंगल-चण्डिके। हूं हूं फट् स्वाहा ॥

ध्यान –

देवीं षोड्शवष यां शश्वत्सुस्थिरयौवनाम् ।

सर्वरुपगुणाढ्यां च कोमलांगीं  मनोहराम् ॥

श्वेतचम्पकवर्णाभा चन्द्रकोटि-समप्रभाम् ।

वह्निशुद्धांशुकाधानां रत्नभूषणभूषिताम् ॥

बिभ्रतीं कवरीभारं मल्लिकामाल्यभूषितम् ।

विम्बोष्ठीं सुदतीं शुद्धां शरत्पद्मनिभाननाम् ॥

ईषद्धास्यप्रसन्नास्यां सुनीलोत्पललोचनाम् ।

जगद्धात्रीं च दात्रीं च सर्वेभ्यः सर्वसम्पदाम् ॥

संसारसागरे घोरे पोतरुपां वरां भजे ।

देव्याश्च द्यानमित्येवं स्तवनं श्रूयतां मुने ।

प्रयतः संकटग्रस्तो येन तुष्टाव शंकरः ॥

‘अर्थात’ सुस्थिर यौवना भगवती मंगल-चण्डिका सदा सोलह वर्ष की ही जान पड़ती है। ये सम्पूर्ण रुप-गुण से सम्पन्न, कोमलांगी एवं मनोहारिणी हैं। श्वेत चम्पा के समान इनका गौरवर्ण तथा करोड़ों चन्द्रमाओं के तुल्य इनकी मनोहर कान्ति है। ये अग्नि-शुद्ध दिव्य वस्त्र धारण किये रत्नमय आभूषणों से विभूषित है। मल्लिका पुष्पों से समलंकृत केशपाश धारण करती हैं। बिम्बसदृश लाल ओठ, सुन्दर दन्त-पंक्ति तथा शरत्काल के प्रफुल्ल कमल की भाँति शोभायमान मुखवाली मंगल-चण्डिका के प्रसन्न वदनारविन्द पर मन्द मुस्कान की छटा छा रही है। इनके दोनों नेत्र सुन्दर खिले हुए नीलकमल के समान मनोहर जान पड़ते हैं। सबको सम्पूर्ण सम्पदा प्रदान करने वाली ये जगदम्बा घोर संसार-सागर से उबारने में जहाज का काम करती हैं। मैं सदा इनका भजन करता हूँ।

शंकर उवाच –

रक्ष रक्ष जगन्मातर्देवि  मंगलचण्डिके ।

हारिके विपदां राशेर्हर्ष-मंगल-कारिके ॥

हर्ष–मंगल–दक्षे चहर्ष-मंगल-चण्डिके ।

शुभे मंगल-दक्षे च शुभ-मंगल-चण्डिके ॥

मंगले मंगलार्हे चसर्व-मंगल-मंगले ।

सतां मंगलदे देवि सर्वेषां मंगलालये ॥

पूज्या मंगलवारे च मंगलाभीष्ट-दैवते ।

पूज्ये मंगल-भूपस्य मनुवंशस्य संततम् ॥

मंगलाधिष्ठातृदेविमंगलानां च मंगले ।

संसार-मंगलाधारे मोक्ष–मंगल-दायिनी ॥

सारे च मंगलाधारे पारे च सर्वकर्मणाम् ।

प्रतिमंगलवारे च पूज्ये च मंगलप्रदे ॥

स्तोत्रेणानेनशम्भुश्चस्तुत्वा मंगलचण्डिकाम् ।

प्रतिमंगलवारे च पूजां कृत्वा गतः शिवः ॥

देव्याश्च मंगल-स्तोत्रं यं श्रृणोति समाहितः ।
